How to Set Up Persisca / WebSuite Email in Gmail (POP + SMTP) Print this Article
Step 1: Access Your Persisca Email Account
- Go to Persisca.com
- Select Studio Login
- Choose Services
- Click Manage on the service connected to your email domain
- Go to Email Accounts
From here, you can see your email list and settings.
Step 2: Collect Your Email Server Info
In Email Accounts, click Connect Devices beside your address, then Mail Client Manual Settings.
Write down these:
- Incoming POP Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Username: your full email address (example: info@yourdomain.com)
- Password: the one you use for Webmail
- POP Port (SSL): 995
- POP Port (Non-SSL): 110
- SMTP Port (SSL): 465
- SMTP Port (TLS): 587
Also confirm your DNS:
- MX record points to your Persisca mail host
- SPF and DKIM are active (check in Email Deliverability inside Persisca panel)
Step 3: Set Up Gmail to Receive with POP
- In Gmail, click the Settings gear → See all settings
- Open the Accounts and Import tab
- In “Check mail from other accounts,” click Add a mail account
- Enter your Persisca Email address and click Next
- Choose Import emails from my other account (POP3)
- Fill out the form:
- Username: full Persisca email address
- Password: your Persisca Email password
- POP Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Port: 995
- Check Always use a secure connection (SSL)
- Leave a copy on the server (check if you want to keep mail in Persisca too)
- Label incoming messages (helps you see which came from Persisca)
- Skip inbox (if you prefer auto-archiving)
Gmail will begin fetching your emails. The first sync might take a bit.
Step 4: Set Up Gmail to Send Through Persisca
- Still in Accounts and Import, go to “Send mail as” and click Add another email address
- Type your name and Persisca Email
- Leave “Treat as an alias” checked
- Click Next Step
- Enter your outgoing mail info:
- SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
- Username: full email address
- Password: your Persisca Email password
- Select SSL if using port 465 or TLS if using 587
Gmail sends a verification code to that mailbox.
- You can check it via Persisca Webmail (visit https://yourdomain.com/webmail)
- Copy the code and paste it back into Gmail
To make it default, under “Send mail as,” select your Persisca address and mark Reply from the same address.
Step 5: Double Check
Test both directions:
- Send from your Gmail (using the Persisca address) to another account.
- Send from another email to your Persisca address.
- Check that both sending and receiving work inside Gmail.
Step 6: (Optional) SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
In Persisca Studio under Email Deliverability, confirm these:
- SPF includes your mail host (like include:persisca.com)
- DKIM is valid for your domain
Add a DMARC record in your DNS:
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:you@yourdomain.com
Common Fixes
- Wrong hostname: always use mail.yourdomain.com or the hostname shown under Connect Devices.
- SSL issues: if 465 fails, try 587 with TLS.
- Firewall blocking: make sure ports 995 and 465/587 are open on your server.
- No verification email: check Webmail manually—it sometimes arrives there before Gmail fetches it.
